Jason Derby brings classroom teaching, individual tutoring, current instruction for the ACT® test, school-facing readiness work, and firsthand Enhanced ACT® test experience into one focused practice.
Meet Jason Derby
Jason does not tutor other subjects or other standardized tests. He focuses solely on the ACT® test and how students, teachers, and schools can approach it better.

Jason is a member of the National Test Prep Association, a professional organization for test-prep providers committed to ethical, current, and effective test preparation.
Jason serves as an ACT Regional Council member, giving him another professional connection to current conversations around college and career readiness.
Jason earned certification in the ACT Instructional Mastery (formerly ACT Certified Educator) program in 2019 and became a trainer the following year. He has worked with teachers and administrators across the country.
Derby ACT Prep is a Licensed Provider of Official ACT® Content through the NTPA ACT Affiliate Tutor Program. As listed by ACT in May 2026, Derby ACT Prep is one of fewer than 70 listed providers nationally and the only listed provider in Iowa or Wisconsin.
Jason is in his 8th year as a high school teacher in Cuba City, WI. He works with high school students every school day, so the instruction is grounded in how students actually learn, avoid work, get stuck, and improve.
